Natural Anxiety Relief – A Quick Fix for Stress

(Watch a video that helps you get instant anxiety relief.)

Anxiety and digestive problems seem to go hand in hand. Or maybe I should say anxiety and life in today’s world seem to go hand in hand!

So what can you do about it?

The time-honoured way to relieve anxiety and stay calm is by meditating. But you might not want to spend 20 years getting really good at meditation when you need anxiety relief right away. (Still worth doing, but definitely not a quick fix!)

Another highly effective method for natural anxiety relief is to use EFT tapping. But you need to learn it and remember to use it. And sometimes you’re not in a place where it’s appropriate to tap.

So, for a really quick fix, I take a dropperful of Emergency Trauma Solution Plus (ETS+) by Perelandra Ltd. ETS+ is an essence solution that rebalances your nervous system and your electrical circuitry. Yes, humans have electrical circuitry (but no wires).

Interestingly, back in 2007, researchers at the Miami School of Nursing did a study of stress and anxiety, treating it with a stress-relieving essence solution called Rescue Remedy, a Bach flower remedy. They found that the Rescue Remedy “had a comparable effect” to pharmaceutical drugs but with none of the side effects, including addiction!…

Bach Flower remedies were developed in the 1920’s and 30’s by English physician, Dr Edward Bach. Rescue Remedy contains 5 ingredients. ETS+ was developed in the 1990’s by Machaelle Small Wright, a nature researcher in the United States. Perelandra’s ETS+ contains 150 ingredients.

Is ETS+ better because it has more ingredients? I don’t know. Maybe we need the additional ingredients now to deal with the constant barrage of stimulation, technology and noise that didn’t exist in 1930, and the expectation that we should be available 24/7. I’m more familiar with ETS+ than Rescue Remedy, but you could try them both and see which one you prefer.

Let’s face it, when you’re anxious, you’re really out of balance. That’s why anxiety makes it hard to think clearly, and you get sweaty palms, knots in your stomach, and can’t breathe properly. Your system gets scrambled and your cognitive brain goes off-line. The ETS+ essence solution unscrambles you. (At least, that’s how I think of it.)

What I love about ETS+ is this. Say I’m about to make a stressful phonecall and I’m already feeling jumpy. I grab my bottle of ETS+, squirt a few drops in my mouth, and presto! There’s a subtle shift and a feeling of calm and balance flows through my body. Now I can make that call without feeling all jangled. Same thing if I’ve just had a stressful, anxiety-causing experience.

I use it for any situation where there’s stress or anxiety. You can take it before, during or after, or all three—it doesn’t matter; it still helps.

I’m not saying ETS+ or Rescue Remedy is the final answer to anxiety relief. If you’re like I was, you’re going to have to do some work on the sources of your anxiety if you want to stay calm and become a more relaxed person. (The Anxiety Buster CD that comes with The No IBS Program gives you the information and techniques you need for this.)

But, in my experience, ETS+ is a great quick fix for stress and anxiety and can make your day a lot easier. There’s even a version for pets!

  1. What a great post! Thank you for sharing it 🙂 These drops sound like they can really work. I have had problems with digestion and also skin issues and I know they were all stress and anxiety related.

I changed my lifestyle by eating properly and getting plenty of rest and exercise and now I am so much better.

But I think adding these drops can help even further.

  2. Ah, Rescue Remedy – it does seem to tell that over-active amygdala to calm down and not be so trigger-happy. RR is so readily available in squirt bottles and drops, too. It’s fairly expensive, but I think well worth the price. They make smaller bottles, too, for the purse. I use it (when I remember – lucky me, I’ve managed to calm things down somewhat; EFT being most helpful)

  3. Hi Annie,

I’m interested in your comment about the price of Rescue Remedy. I find the drops (whether RR or ETS+) last such a long time and are so beneficial, I think of them as a necessity.

  4. it’s kind of ridiculous to think that something you squirt in your mouth “immediately” makes you feel calm. What is it, magic? Somehow your whole system is “scrambled,” but a few squirts of this potion “unscrambles it” immediately? I know there are herbal and alternative remedies that do help relieve stress, but you lose all credibility when you say a few squirts makes you feel calm. That’s called a placebo effect. I see these comments are moderated – if you don’t publish this one, I don’t know how I could possibly take this website seriously.

  5. Hi Sam,It does sound ridiculous, doesn’t it? Especially if you are accustomed to thinking from a conventional medical perspective that looks at the human body only as a machine made of flesh and bone. The principle behind flower essences is that the human body is electrical (no mystery or magic about that – it is scientifically validated) and that when the human electrical system is scrambled or blocked, flower essences will restore the flow. I am no expert on this so if you want more information, you could research flower essences or Dr Edward Bach online. Certainly everyone needs to find out what works best for him or her. In this article, I am talking about something that works for me and telling others about it because I am aware that many people experience uncomfortable side effects from anxiety medications and are looking for natural alternatives. Are flower essences and ETS+ placebos? If so, they are effective ones – at least for me. Go ahead and try them to see if they work for you. Then you can decide.
